SDE has contacts and links with a number of organisations as part of the development of a European supplier diversity programme. They include:
• ADIVE: The Agency for Diversity in Entrepreneurship (Agence pour la Diversité Entrepreneuriale - Adive) is a French non-for-profit organization created in February 2009. Its mission is to: create a direct relationship between SMEs settled in disadvantaged areas or minority-owned businesses and large companies, through RFPs processing and networking events; help these SMEs to build capacity, increase their sales, develop their activities, generate jobs and wealth creation in order to foster social and economic development of disadvantaged areas; and to provide large companies with solutions to implement a sustainable and diversity-oriented procurement program. | • ACCA: is the global body for professional accountants. ACCA understands the real issues facing small businesses as 63000 of its members work in SME’s or small partnerships nationwide.
• CIPS: is the leading body representing the field of purchasing and supply chain management. They have grown to be the central reference for industry best practice and the CIPS code of practice is the standard for the world.
• CRÈME: Centre for research in ethnic minority entrepreneurship: Based at De Montford University, Leicester: Monder Ram and his team spearhead a range of work related to supplier diversity. | • EHRC: Have a statutory remit to promote and monitor human rights; to protect, enforce and promote equality across age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, sexual orientation and gender reassignment. • Migration Policy Group (MPG): SDE is part of MPG. MPG is an independent non profit organisation committed to contributing to lasting and positive changes resulting in open and inclusive societies in which all members have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities in developing the economic, social and civic life of Europe’s diverse societies. |
